The key roles for the Procurement and Contracts Directorate are as follows:
- Manage the IWPP's tendering and procurement process for the new capacity.
- Prepare and publish the annual BST.
- Purchase fuel (gas) for the use of licensed Generators.
- Monitor the performance of the PWPAs, BST Agreements.
- Assist Finance and Administration Department (FAD) with financial settlement.
- Manage the Fuel Supply Agreements (FSA) and certify payments.
- Prepare / negotiate agreements with non-Emirate consumers.
- Liase with the Regulation and Supervision Bureau (RSB).
