Welcome to the Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Company. ADWEC was established on 1/1/1999. ADWEC is the single Buyer and Seller of electricity and water within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi ADWEC procurers water and electricity from the Power and Water Producers on the basis of long term Power and Water Purchase Agreements (PWPA's) and sells it through Bulk Supply Tariffs (BST) sales agreement with the Distribution Companies (DISCO's). It is also reponsible for preparing the long-term Demand Forecasts for electricity and water, purchasing of gas fuel, contracting for new capacity and financial settlements.
